Interview with Fraser Cain of UniverseToday.com

I was very excited to get a chance to interview Fraser Cain for you.

Fraser is pretty special in my opinion because he runs UniverseToday.com. He’s able to generate an absolute ton of traffic to his site, to the tune of millions of unique visitors per month. Not many people can say that. And I think it’s a massive accomplishment.

His site is an incredibly valuable resource for anyone interested in space exploration. And due to all the traffic he receives, he’s able to earn a substantial amount of money from Adsense (well into the 5-figure a month range).

Fraser’s UniverseToday.com site shows you an actual example of how to run a long-term, high income Adsense business. He’s gone in a completely different direction from many seeking quick profits from Adsense. He’s focused on one site and built up a community around a broad topic.

He strives to produce the type of content people want to read and learn from and in the process, it’s brought him an absolute ton of traffic along with a high, steady income.

I think anyone interested in the content publishing model can learn a lot from Fraser (myself included). He was kind enough to answer several questions for me on how he got started.… Continue Reading >>

Interview with Rob Mabry of Mister E-Commerce

There are a lot of options when it comes to starting an e-commerce store. You can do dropshipping, offer affiliate products, or try warehouseing. There are a ton of shopping carts to sort through and like any online business you have your pick of marketing methods.

So to make sense of it all I invited Rob Mabry to answer a few questions I had about e-commerce stores.

Rob is the author of the “E-Commerce Blueprint: Your Step-by-Step Guide to Online Store Success“, currently available on Amazon.com. He also runs Mister E-Commerce, a site full of tips and strategies for getting your store set-up and promoted.

He’s had a number of e-commerce site successes and in this interview Rob will share many tips with you on how you can follow in his footsteps.

Let’s get right into the interview…

Rob Mabry Interview

Lisa:  I know you’re the author of a great ecommerce book called “E-Commerce Blueprint: Your Step-by-Step Guide to Online Store Success” which would be very valuable for anyone thinking of starting an ecommerce store.  How many ecommerce sites have you run?

Rob:  Well over the years, I’ve probably opened around 20 different e-commerce sites, but today we are focused on three different stores.  We’ll call the other 17 sites “learning experiences” because that’s what they were.  I think in the beginning my wife and I who are business partners were pretty naive.… Continue Reading >>

I recently had the pleasure of interviewing Mary Murphy and Andrew Haha of SensorySwim.com.  I loved doing this interview. Mary and Andrew have such positive energy about them.

They co-founded a wonderful business helping teach children with sensory disorders how to swim. And through the promotion of their website they are able to generate more interest than they can handle (it sounds like easily 10 times as much).

Here’s a little of what Mary and Andrew share with you in this interview:

  • What they focus on in their website and social media campaigns to generate so much interest in their swim classes.
  • How they use Facebook to drive as many as 600 visitors a week to their site.
  • What they feel is the pathway to word-of-mouth referrals and excitement from their clients.

There’s a lot more packed in this interview. The thing that really shines through is their love and passion for working with special needs kids and how they’ve been able to turn that into a full-time business spanning across 4 states.

And clearly with all the interest in their swim lessons they have a lot of room to expand the program if they choose to.… Continue Reading >>

I’m very excited to bring you this interview from Mickie Kennedy. Mickie is the founder of eReleases.com, one of the top press release writing and submission companies out there.

I contacted Mickie because I hoped I could learn a few things about gaining the attention of the media through press releases.  I’ve written several releases myself and hired out even more and I’ve never seen the results I was hoping for. My releases have gotten backlinks to my sites, but never been picked up by the media in the way I was hoping.

So I had a few questions on what it takes to write a release that can generate real interest.  With all the testimonials on eReleases.com it was obvious they know the secrets to getting this type of interest.  So I was thrilled Mickie agreed to answer a few questions for me.

And the interview ended up exceeding my hopes. At over 50 minutes long, it’s packed full of tips and pointers as to why my past releases fell flat and what I can do about that in the future.

Here’s just a little of what Mickie covers in the interview:

Interview with Hector Cuevas of InboundPro.net

I recently has the pleasure of interviewing Hector Cuevas of InboundPro.net.

The term Inbound Marketing is a type of marketing used to gain visitors to your site through the creation of high quality content. Blogs, video, social media and SEO are all forms of inbound marketing.

So there’s a good chance you’ve been doing Inbound Marketing without knowing it.

Hector started building websites in 2008. He knows the ropes of how to get your site set up and has mastered many promotional techniques.

Inbound Pro shows you how to get traffic, write valuable content for your visitors, and build a list. All very important to the success of your website.

I wanted to interview Hector because I really liked something I read on his site. The saying was, ‘When in doubt: create something useful and help someone in need’.

That’s a great quote and something I believe in as well.

Let’s jump into the interview …

Hector Cuevas Interview

Lisa: Who’s inspired you?

Hector: There are a few people who really got me going and taking action. Mike Dillard is a big deal in the internet marketing/MLM business community, and I first stumbled upon how to market online through one of his products.… Continue Reading >>

Interview with Dori Friend of SEO Nitro

For the last year or so, the SEO world has been in chaos. So I believe getting as many valid opinions on the state of search engine optimization is worthwhile.

One of the people I reached out to for opinions is Dori Friend of SEO Nitro.

Dori’s been one of the go-to girls of SEO for at least a decade. She’s run several top-level private workshops, built SEO software, and is behind several blog networks including SEO Nitro, one of the most exclusive closed-door link networks available.  So I really appreciate her taking the time to share her opinions on SEO now in 2012 and in the future.

This interview will explain top mistakes small business owners make when it comes to getting high rankings, her favorite link building methods post Panda/Penguin, and thoughts on what to make of unnatural link warnings.

As you read, keep a few things in mind:

  • Dori is definitely an authority in SEO. Since Google hasn’t let anyone in on what’s going on (especially in regards to backlinking and unnatural link warnings) her opinion is valuable.
  • As the creator of the largest blog networks man and woman has ever seen, she’s got access to more data than anyone I know.
